Church Disregards Social Distance Advice, Invites 1,800 People To Worship Service

A Louisiana church has disregarded the official advice on social distancing and welcomed 1,800 people through its doors.

Despite the rampant coronavirus outbreak, over the weekend Life Tabernacle Church had 26 buses transport crowds of worshippers down to church for Sunday Service.

The shocking act of defiance came despite a grave warning from the state’s governor and a plea for churches to temporarily cease operations.

“I would urge that faith leaders and all faith leaders to heed this directive and not necessarily engage in mass gatherings where this coronavirus can spread,” Gov. John Edwards said this week, as he issued a comprehensive “stay at home” order.

However, Life Tabernacle’s Pastor Tony Spell said he would be openly defying the advice and believing God for the protection of his flock.

"That is our command. 'They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover,'" Spell told WGMB.

“When the paramedics can’t get there, when the law enforcement can’t get there, the holy ghost can get there it will make a difference in someone’s life."

If anyone in his congregation becomes infected with the COVID-19 virus, Spell insists that he will simply invoke the healing of the Holy Spirit . "I'm going to address that by laying hands on them and praying for them and depending on God to heal their body," he said.

Louisiana is one of the worst-affected states in the US, with almost 1,400 confirmed cases and 46 deaths.

According to CNN , at a news conference Sunday, Edwards said that his state was dealing with one of the fastest infection rates in the world.

Within the space of just a week, Louisiana has jumped from logging less than 100 cases to more than 1,000.

"That's a ten-time increase in seven days," Edwards said. “In the last two weeks, our growth rate has been faster than any state or country in the world.”

He comforts us...

“He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.

When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
2 Corinthians 1:4, NLT

In today’s Scripture the apostle Paul is saying, “You were comforted in the loss of your loved one; help somebody else through their loss. You’ve been healed; now go help somebody else get healed.” God didn’t heal you just so you could be well, but so you could become a healer.

He favored you so you could show people favor. He gave you a new beginning so you could help others make it through their loss. You’re no longer a patient needing help; you’ve become a physician.

Every one of us has had experiences that make us a physician.

If you’ve been through cancer treatment, a divorce, a loss, or a rough childhood, you are uniquely qualified to help others in that situation. You’ve been in their shoes. You know the pain, the discouragement, the battles they fight in their mind. You can help them in a way that others who’ve not experienced it can. Don’t stay a grateful patient, become a physician.

“Father, thank You for the things that You’ve brought me through that I can now use to help others in their struggles.

Thank You that I have something to give, some encouragement to share, some wisdom to impart.
Sincere talk

Message from the Psalmist

In agreement with the written word of the Lord in Psalm 91:9-11.

These days as you look up to God at this crucial moment for protection, and as you do your best in adhering to safety precautions, may God's hand be upon you to protect you against the fleeting spread of the dreaded coronavirus or any other diseases afflicting the world.

May the lord keep you away from afflicted persons or gatherings and make your environment safe.

Beloved, as you partner of this commission, no devil will mess around you and your households territory anymore, you will soar above frustrations in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

In three short months, just like He did with the plagues of Egypt (Exod.6-12), God has taken away everything we worship.

The world proudest cities are laying desolate!

God said, "you are worshiping Games and Athletes - I will shut down your Stadiums and Arenas.

You are worshiping Musicians - I will shut down Civic Centers.

You are worshiping Actors and Actresses - I will shut down Theaters.

Money has become your god - I will shrink your Economies and collapse the Stock Market.

Man seems to want to worship everything - except God!

That’s not right.

Maybe we don't need a vaccine for curing this deadly Coronavirus.

Maybe we need to take this time of isolation from the distractions of the world to have a personal revival where we can focus on the Man who came to redeem us.

Jesus - the ONLY thing in this life that really matters!

"If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Dear God,

Being alone is hard. We were created for community, not confinement.

But we’re grateful that no matter how alone we may feel, You never leave or forsake us. And, we’re grateful for technology that helps us stay in touch with each other.

Today, please remind us that this time of social distancing and isolation will not last forever.

Give us the strength to endure this difficult season, and deepen our connection with You and Your people.

Empower us with an extra dose of Your love, peace, hope and joy, because we need it. Remind us of Your promises, and please heal our land.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God is faithful

There are some things that may happen or may be happening to us as a result of our wrong actions.

But what is worthwhile to know is that, whatever we might be going through, God is aware of them all. And if He’s aware, then we can be so sure that we would soon overcome all. Our God is a God that understands how we feel and think as regard any and every situations of our lives.

It may be that the Lord will look on mine affliction, and that the Lord will requite me good for his cursing this day.

 2Samuel 16:12

Some men have actually understood the character of God to a large extent.

And studying such lives will grant us insights into the acts of God. one of such great men is King David.

The scripture above described a time of great humiliation in the life of king David. David had defiled himself, lost his kingdom as a direct consequence of his shortcomings, and was fleeing from his son. On his escape route out of his kingdom, he met a man that rained curses on him.

But David refused to fight back, even though he can run the man over in an instance. He refused to fight back because he knew God is aware of even the tiniest situation going on in our lives. And he explained to his soldiers that, *God can actually look at the man’s cursing and shine his face on him once again

We don’t need to be so worried about fighting back, defending ourselves, undergoing sorrowful days, cursing God, or backslide; we should be rest assured that the Lord is aware of whatever is going on, and his victory is coming very soon.

The same man that cursed King David in the above Scripture came back to bow before him as his servant. No situation can ever overcome you, you’re an overcomer in Christ Jesus. God will make sure that every situation you entrust unto him, even when facing the consequences of your actions will turn to glorious testimonies. Victory is the nature of Christ. And whatever the case may be, God is aware and he will soon grant you victory.

NEW VIDEO ALERT Titled, "Does Virginity Still Count?" See the answer through the link below:

To accept Christ, Pray: Lord Jesus, I want to know you personally. Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving me of my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me the kind of person you want me to be. Amen.

If you've prayed the above prayer, email me at i would love to pray with you and send you some helpful materials.

You are unstoppable

“Bring all the tithe into the storehouse…and try Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.”
Malachi 3:10, NKJV

When you honor God with your life, He puts a blessing on you that gives you an advantage.

Today’s Scripture doesn’t say “blessings,” plural; it says “blessing,” singular. When you have “the blessing,” all kinds of blessings will come.

It causes you to rise up when circumstances are pushing you down and to prosper when others are struggling. It’s not just because of your skill, talent, and determination.

There is a force behind you that is fighting your battles, bringing the right people into your life, opening doors you can’t open.

Don’t discount yourself. David went out with a slingshot and a few stones and defeated Goliath. What you have may seem small compared to what you’re up against, but a slingshot with the blessing is more powerful than a tank without it.

Your talent may seem small compared to the dream God put in your heart, but that talent with the blessing will take you further than you can imagine.

“Father, thank You for the blessing on my life, thank You for breathing in my direction, thank You for taking me where I couldn’t go on my own. Thank You that You have levels that I’ve never fathomed.

I believe I haven’t touched the surface of what’s in store. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Every Christian is called to serve God.

Another term for serving God that's misunderstood by most people is the word ministry. When most people hear "ministry", they think of pastors, priests, and professional clergy, but God says every member of his family is a minister.

If you are a Christian, you are a minister. Your call to salvation included your call to service. God has a 'ministry' for you in his church and a 'mission' for you in the world.

Today thousands of local churches are dying because of Christians who are unwilling to serve.

If you aren't serving, you're just existing!

"Each of us will have to give a personal account to God." (Rom. 14:12)

“And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed.”

Matthew 26:39

There are several instructive features in our Saviour’s prayer in his hour of trial. It was lonely prayer. He withdrew even from his three favoured disciples.

Believer, be much in solitary prayer, especially in times of trial. Family prayer, social prayer, prayer in the Church, will not suffice, these are very precious, but the best beaten spice will smoke in your censer in your private devotions, where no ear hears but God's.

It was humble prayer. Luke says he knelt, but another evangelist says he “fell on his face.” Where, then, must be thy place, thou humble servant of the great Master? What dust and ashes should cover thy head! Humility gives us good foot-hold in prayer. There is no hope of prevalence with God unless we abase ourselves that he may exalt us in due time.

It was filial prayer. “Abba, Father.” You will find it a stronghold in the day of trial to plead your adoption. You have no rights as a subject, you have forfeited them by your treason; but nothing can forfeit a child’s right to a father’s protection. Be not afraid to say, “My Father, hear my cry.”

Observe that it was persevering prayer. He prayed three times.

Cease not until you prevail. Be as the importunate widow, whose continual coming earned what her first supplication could not win. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.

Lastly, it was the prayer of resignation. “Nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.”

Yield, and God yields. Let it be as God wills, and God will determine for the best. Be thou content to leave thy prayer in his hands, who knows when to give, and how to give, and what to give, and what to withhold. So pleading, earnestly, importunately, yet with humility and resignation, thou shalt surely prevail.

Former Dembare, Bosso Forward Joins Highlands Park

Former Harare City and Dynamos forward Kuda Kumwala has won hearts at Highlands Park where he was on trials, it has emerged.

The South African top-flight club’s media officer Sibonelo Ngidi revealed to Soccer24 that Kumwala impressed head coach Owen da Gama though he opted to conceal contractual details.

Highlands is also home to former Warriors and Highlanders goalkeeper Tapuwa Kapini and striker Tendai Ndoro – formerly with Chicken Inn and Orlando Pirates.

Kapini is excited with the prospect of sharing the same dressing room with Kumwala who will only start playing next season.

“Kuda is a quality player, he is strong and offensive. I wish him the best,” he said.

Kumwala’s notable highlight in Zimbabwe’s topflight was at Dynamos in 2018, but the forward failed to replicate the same form which put him under the spotlight during his time with Hartley Academy in Division One.-Soccer 24

Grandpa Forces Self On Maid(19)

A 60-YEAR-OLD man from Bulawayo has been arrested for allegedly raping his 19-year-old maid.

The man from North End suburb whose name has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim, allegedly raped the girl in the morning when she was doing her house chores.

The accused person was not asked to plead to rape when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Ms Adelaide Mbeure.

He was remanded on $500 bail to March 30.

The prosecutor, Mr Denmark Chihombe, said on Friday last week at around 7AM, the complainant was approached by the accused person from behind.

“The complainant was doing her household chores when she was grabbed on the waist by the accused person.

He threw her onto a sofa in the sitting room facing upwards before undressing her.

The accused person then raped the complainant once while using a condom,” he said.

It is alleged that the girl narrated her ordeal to an unidentified neighbour.

The matter was reported to the police leading to the accused person’s arrest.-State media

Prophet Invites Mnangagwa, Chamisa To Holy Mountain For Three Day Fasting Programme

The leader of Calvary Prayer Group, Prophet Isaac Makomichi says he is intending to invite President Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC leader Nelson Chamisa to a  three-day prayer and fasting programme at "a holy mountain."

This, he says is a biblical revelation as the nation needs divine intervention.

Makomichi said while he was impressed by the efforts made by the two politicians to combat the deadly Coronavirus scourge, there was need to seek divine intervention.

"I am humbly inviting His Excellency, President Emmerson Mnangagwa and MDC president Nelson Chamisa to a sacred mountain for prayers.

The main objective of the three day programme is to pray for the nation.

As you know the nation is grappling with economic challenges and above all we have to pray against Coronavirus.

If the two leaders take the initiative to pray for the nation, then we will be delivered.

Remember Elijah would go to the mountain to pray, that is what our leaders are supposed to do," said .

"I can leave them at prayer mountain or I can spend three days with them . Zimbabwe requires divine intervention."

However, political observers have indicated that it is  practically impossible for the two to meet at the said prayer mountain.

"That is impossible, the two cannot spend three days and three nights together. They have to meet and resolve outstanding issues before going to the prayer mountain.

I don't think they will even agree to go there," said one political analyst.

Coronavirus Prevention Methods

Zimbabwe Online Health Centre, a digital platform for health awareness, has urged the nation to remain watchful as COVID-19 continues to ravage the world.

Cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in South Africa.

See below a statement compiled by Zimbabwe Online Health Centre director, Dr Ellane Simon:

The COVID-19 virus  is crown shaped.

It affects both animals and humans and can be transmitted from animals to humans. Anyone anywhere can be infected by the virus. It infects people through coughing and sneezing, touching an infected person's hands or face or touching infected objects an infected person has touched.

It is like all the other viruses that cause common cold and is common in winter.

Symptoms include a runny nose, headache, cough, sore throat, fever and a feeling of being unwell. In people with an immunocompromised immune system such as children, elderly, those with heart diseases they might develop respiratory tract infections such as pneumonia or bronchitis.

There are ways one can protect themselves from catching the virus. Prevention methods include: washing hands with soap and water or using a hand rub always. Avoid touching the eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid close contact with infected people. Those infected should also cover their nose, mouth when coughing.

However, if infected one needs plenty of rest, lots of fluids and management of symptoms such as sore throat, fever.

If there is  pneumonia or bronchitis one should also receive appropriate treatment for that respiratory tract infection.

Because this is a communicable virus it spreads fast therefore always protect yourself and your community.

Prevention is always better than cure.

Don't worry about tomorrow

"Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things." (Matt.6:34)

Last week is far gone and we are in a new week.

Today's verse tells us not to worry about tomorrow. But it's not an excuse for being lazy or thoughtless.

It is perfectly normal to take responsibility and prepare for what will happen tomorrow. Make sure you have shut the doors and windows of your house for protection against thieves before you go to sleep. And, make sure to do your homework carefully if you want to pass an examination.
It is alright and proper to foresee problems that might arise and to prepare for them

But "worrying" is another matter.

It is to preoccupy yourself with what will be on the next day, instead of today. You start troubling your mind by imagining the worst that might happen tomorrow.
This deprives you of your joy that you would be enjoying today.

When we worry, we focus our attention on what might happen tomorrow, on the "the events", instead of focusing on the One who controls events.

We have an omnipotent Father who loves us and has all things in His hands!
He says, "Fear not, for I am with you." (Is. 41:10)
Sincere talk

Nothing on earth is more valuable to God than the UNITY of His church.

Therefore it is your job as a Christian to protect the unity of your church.

Unity of the church is so important that the New Testament gives more attention to it than it gives to either heaven or hell! In his final moments before he was arrested, Jesus prayed passionately for unity. (John 17:20-23). It was our unity as his followers that was uppermost in his mind during those agonizing hours.

Therefore, we must do everything we can to protect the unity of the church we fellowship with, and to love it in spite of its imperfections.

Our fellow believers (or even leaders) will disappoint us and let us down. But divorcing your church at the first sign of disappointment is a sign of immaturity.

Besides, there is no perfect church to escape to. Every church has its own set of weakness and problems. You'll soon be disappointed again.

Important Verse

"Let there be real harmony so there won't be divisions in the church. I plead with you to be of one mind, united in thought and purpose." (1Cor.1:10)

Don't be emotional

A snake managed to get into a carpentry workshop, it passed over a saw and got slightly wounded.

Suddenly, it turned and bit the saw, and biting the saw, the snake seriously got wounded in its mouth! Then it could  not understanding what was happening and thinking that the saw was attacking it.

It decided to roll around the saw to suffocate it with all its body by squeezing it with all its strength, but it ended up being killed by the saw!

Sometimes we react in anger to hurt those who have upset us, but we realize after all that we are being hurt ourselves.

In life it is better sometimes to ignore situations, ignore people, ignore their behaviors, their words.

Sometimes it is better not to react so as not to suffer consequences that can sometimes be deadly or harmful.

Do not let hate take over your life because love is stronger than anything.

Be wise ...
God bless you.

Prayer of praise

Our  Father and God we adore and worship you we bless you for good health and sound health.

We thank you for grace and mercy,  we give you all the glory because you alone deserve it
Lord we thank you for the gift of salvation you gave unto us all be glorified Lord.

Father we ask for mercy forgive us oh Lord
Wash and cleanse us from our trespasses and iniquities Lord purge us and sanctify us
Lord we pray you make us a vessel unto honour and a living sacrifice
Lord we pray that you help us to live a life righteous and holy in your sight
Break and remould us for your use
Lord we pray help us to be worthy of your Kingdom.

Be thou exalted Lord receive all glory and honour our King in Jesus name we pray

Rule Your Spirit

Whoever is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and he who rules his spirit than he who takes a city.
Proverbs 16:32, ESV

Today’s Scripture tells us to rule our own spirit. It doesn’t say to rule somebody else’s spirit or to rule your circumstances.

You can’t control what other people think or say about you or the negative circumstances around you.

If you’re dealing with a sickness or your finances are low, your attempts to control it will only lead to frustration, worry, and discouragement. Part of ruling your spirit is to not let that poison get in you.

Ships don’t sink because there’s water around them; they sink if they let the water get in them.

Another part of ruling your spirit is to not believe the enemy’s constant whispers, “You blew it. God’s never going to bless you.” God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake.

Your mistakes didn’t cancel God’s plan, and He’s not finished with you. You may have fallen down, but your attitude should be, “I’m not staying down. God will get me to where I’m supposed to be.”

“Father, thank You for Your strength and mercy in times of difficulty. I can’t control what others say or do or control negative circumstances around me, but I can rule my spirit. I believe that You will make a way for me and get me to where I’m supposed to be. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Spiritual significance of a gate

“And for a spirit of judgment to him that sitteth in judgment, and for strength to them that turn the battle to the gate.” (Isa 28:6)

What is a gate? A gate represents an entry, as well as an exit point.

Every human being on earth has passed through a gate. At its most basic, we all came into this world through the gate of our mother’s womb.

A gate is a barrier that the enemy places as an obstruction to prevent you from crossing into a good thing or place.

We have business gates, educational gates, marital gates, salvation gates, career gates, professional gates, political gates, and so on.

It is possible for you to find out that the enemy has shut all gates against you but not until you deal with the enemy at the gate, nothing positive can ever happen to you.

However, if you are able to fight the enemy at the gate on your knees, you are sure of success and greatness.

You will walk through the gate of the remaining months of 2020 without hindrance from the enemy. The gate of 2020 is open to you, in Jesus’ name.

Words of wisdom: Not until you deal with the enemy at the gate, nothing positive can ever happen to you.

Prayer / Confession: Every enemy standing at the gate of my breakthrough, I address you in the name of Jesus I stop your activities in my life, in Jesus’ name! Amen!!

Further Reading: Exodus: 32:26-28.

“I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from my enemies.” (2 Samuel: 22:4)

The enemy at your gate can be defeated through prayer praise and some other factors.

Behind every gate is something special, something that you ought to have, but in most cases, people end up just at the gate.

They never go in to possess their possessions. That is why we often hear, “I almost...”
“I almost” will not be heard on your lips anymore, in Jesus’ name.

Many people are at the gate of their marital bliss, job, business, career, etc, but they cannot enter because of the enemy.

Child of God, as you read this message, believe in your heart that it is your time to give birth to your blessings. God said I should tell you that He, Jehovah El-Shaddai, is unlocking all the closed gates of your life and destiny.

In addition, He is opening new gates, which will be enemy-free, and which will enable you to possess your possession easier than before.

Words of wisdom: Behind every gate is something special.

Prayer/Confession: Whatever is
preventing my fruit from springing forth; I address, fight, and defeat it, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I stop its activities in my life, in Jesus’ name! Amen!!

Further Reading: 2 Samuel: 22:1-10.

Violence Has No Place In Football -Highlanders

Highlanders Football Club would like to express its absolute disgust about the pitch invasion and missile throwing incidents that transpired on Saturday the 14th of March, during the Castle Challenge Cup match played against FC Platinum at Barbourfields Stadium.

The ugly incidents that marred a potentially good sporting event reflect badly on our football, Highlanders FC as a brand and various stakeholders involved in this beautiful game.

We would like to urge all football loving fans to refrain from such acts of hooliganism that stunt the growth of the sport as they scare away potential sponsors and partners.

As Highlanders F.C, we want to take this opportunity to apologise to all stakeholders who were affected by the incidents and give an assurance that as a club, we are working tirelessly to decontaminate our football of this vice.

With the assistance of key actors in the game, we will look into how we can better our security and crowd control skills for future football events.

The club also notes with gratefulness the amount of work that the Government of Zimbabwe , Bulawayo City Council and other stakeholders involved have done in uplifting Barbourfields stadium generally and particularly the playing pitch, which was in pristine condition for the match.

Thus, the lifting and throwing of watering pipes that were stored between the touchline advertising space and the Soweto stand perimeter fence by violent fans is uncalled for, and stand unequivocally condemned by the club.
Violence has no place in football.

Football is a family sport, and the stadium should provide a conducive environment for football-loving people to bring their families.

Full Text: How To Prevent Birth Defects

Compiled by Zimbabwe Online Health Centre

The day is commemorated all over the world on the 3rd of March.

It is a day set aside to raise awareness on the serious global problem and call for more surveillance, prevention, care and research to help babies and children.

Birth defects contribute to child mortality and in some families may cause divorce or even family separation.

Many birth defects are preventable but once a baby is born with them curing them is difficult.
Prevention: Couples can avoid unnecessary emotional trauma of having a baby with congenital birth defects by:  Planning a pregnancy in advance and talk to your doctor about what one should be doing.

This include taking supplements, vaccinated, stop smoking and alcohol intake,  stop all teratogenic drugs or switch to other drugs,  make sure chronic conditions like Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus are well controlled. All this helps reduce the incidence of birth defects.

During pregnancy regular visits to the doctor or health practitioner for checkups is also important. If problems are to arise they are detected early and medical interventions can also be done early. Health seeking behavior is also important.

Pregnancy comes with its physiological changes and for the first pregnancy one might not be able to tell the normal from the abnormal but if you visit a health facility one might be advised on what to do early.

Husbands and even relatives at home should support pregnant women. Stressful environment is not good and might also affect the mother affecting the foetus and might contribute to birth defects. If one is not sure whether they are pregnant or not always notify when new drugs are prescribed or when an X-ray is offered as exposure to these also contribute to birth defects. The most crucial months of all are the first three to four months (1st Trimester). This is the period the foetus is developing therefore any disturbance to this process causes birth defects.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) developed by World Health Organization (WHO) goal 3 says: Good health and well being for people. It aims to reduce under five mortality in every country. Birth defects contributes a percentage to those deaths therefore fighting against birth defects is fighting for well being. Prevention is better than cure.

 Let's fight birth defects.

"Everything lives by God's power, and everything is for his glory." (Rom. 11:36)

The ultimate goal of the universe is to show the glory of God. It is the reason for everything that exists, including you.

Nature tells us a lot about God. He is powerful, he is a lover of beauty, he is organized, and he is wise and creative! Just look around you - everything created by God reflects his glory in some way!

"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies proclaim the work of his hands." (Ps.19:1)

Jesus came to earth so we could fully understand God's glory.

Because of Jesus, we are no longer in the DARK about what God is really like.

"The Word became flesh and lived among us. And we saw his glory, glory like that of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth."
(John 1:14)
The Preacher's Sincere Talk

Touch Him Today

When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”
Mark 5:27–28, NIV

In many of the healings that Jesus performed, He laid His hands on people. But in this case, the woman laid her hands on Jesus.

There were other sick people in the crowd that day. Many people with needs bumped up against Jesus and nothing happened, but this lady believed in Him, touched Him, and was healed.

Are you brushing up against Jesus or are you touching Him, so to speak? Are you waiting for God to lay hands on you? Are you living with expectancy, knowing that He’s bigger than your specific problems, or are you discouraged, thinking it will never change? God is passing by. He has all power. Don’t just brush up against Him. Don’t be passive and think you’ll never accomplish your dreams, never start your business, never meet the right person.

Your faith can activate God’s power to do amazing things. Do like this woman—touch Him and believe it will happen!

“Father, thank You that my faith and expectancy can be a catalyst for You to do amazing things.

Thank You that I can reach out and touch You by faith today.

I believe that You are making a way, that things are changing in my favor, and that victory will be mine. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Never despise those around you

A pastor  noticed  a particular mad man who  had always come to pick an unseen substances  infront of the  church  every Monday morning, he kept  quiet and never  said  a word as so not to fall into  trouble  with a mad man.

Three months  later,  noticing  the mad man has consistently been  coming to pick up  things  as usual, he summoned  courage  to ask him what  he has been  picking on the ground for the past months.

The mad man responded. BLESSINGS, the pastor  was surprised to  hear the mad man sounding  very intelligent and interesting.

The mad man Continued., Everytime  God uses you to bless  your  congregation  with  huge  blessings, devine favor,  multiples of open doors, miracles...

When the service is  over, 95% of your members will always drop their blessings,  miracles etc  at the front of this  church gate and left. Some living to club houses, some to their  boyfriends and girlfriends houses as well, some of them even end up gossiping, making unhealthy statements about the church fellow members and even the pastor and the wife, He continued, some of this 95% of persons attends every weekly activities in Church but are very very  far from  Christ Jesus, this  are unrepented souls that  will soon perish in hellfire. He asked, have you not  noticed  that  new members  seem to be having  wonderful testimonies than the old?

Pastor nodded. He continued, since the right owners  don't know  the use and benefits  of it,  I decided to  come  park them. Or should  I allow  God's blessings  to waste???

Pastor  sorrowfully  went into the  Church  and wept tirelessly.

Please  if you  rank among the  95% of the church goers mentioned by the mad man, you know you can't deceive yourself forever, Jesus Christ is calling  you *NOW* to *REPENT* .

May God bless you as you repent and respond to this call in Jesus Name. Have a glorious day.

Your relevance is connected to your purpose.

Therefore for you to be relevant in life You need to discover and fulfill your purpose in life.

Your purpose defines your relevance, therefore not fulfilling it makes you irrelevant in life. Remember, your purpose is designed and created by God not you. Hence, you only discover your purpose and fulfill it by the help of God's provision and guidance in your life.

Many have created their own purpose unfortunately which is not consistent with God's original purpose for their lives and this has made them live irrelevant and unfulfilled lives.

God wants you to discover your purpose in life... this is the only way you can be relevant to your world as God intended it to be.

If you haven't discovered your purpose on Earth yet, please take careful consideration to this because life lived without a Purpose is worse than death.

What is human trafficking?

Hi. My name is Abigail and this is my story.

A year ago, I made a decision to seek employment  in Oman because it seemed like an easy way to make quick money.

There they wanted someone who could cook Indian food and I was qualified plus I really enjoy being in the kitchen especially when I'm baking. Now, I've made many bad decisions in my life but this is by far the worst decision ever.

I did not consult anyone apart from my cousin who was already working in Oman as a housemaid. She assured me that everything was ok and that I was gonna be just fine.

When I arrived in Oman I believed that I had made the right decision, I mean Muscat looked beautiful, clean, peaceful and everything seemed to be in order. Little did I know that in a few months everything would change. Deep down I knew that I was sacrificing my life because of the stories that I heard on the radio and from people but that did not stop me. I'm a single mother and I would do anything for my son and my family.

I almost never care about my happiness, as long as those in my life are happy that's enough for me. So I figured that if I would work while sending money back home, by the end of 2 years  I would be financially stable so I was good to go. The lure of working abroad was hard to resist more so the promised salary was much more than I had ever been able to earn at home.

At first, you feel appreciated until demands start coming, like forcing you to join Islam because for some reason to them that is the only true religion.

First, your passport is taken from you and then they get you an Id which they take from you too. To make things worse, when the month ends you do not get paid what you were promised and then they will try to convince you to let them keep the money for you. As long as you do what they tell you without any resistance, you will be ok and they will even shower you with fancy gifts.

When I got there everything seemed great until I realised that I actually had to do all the housework.

My boss assured me that she would help me around the house until they find a maid to do the work but I told her that I was a chef and not a cleaner but well, that didn't go well so I just had to accept their demands. What started as a quick easy way to making good money turned into a nightmare. It was a family of 7 and I literally had to clean the whole house and cook too.

I would wake up at 5:00am do all the cleaning and I had to be done by 9:00am then make breakfast, Do laundry, iron and then cook lunch, serve the food then, bake a cake or snacks, clean the kitchen and by the time I'm done I would be totally knackered yet I would still have more work to do.

I reached a point where I only had 4hours of sleep every day.

I lost weight, every part of my body was in pain and when I asked them to take me to the hospital they refused. I reached a point where I felt like I couldn't go on. I had had enough so I told my boss that I wanted to leave because I couldn't handle the situation. At that moment everything changed. I had never seen so much evil and hatred in someone's eyes like I did that day.

I knew that my life was in danger. My boss told me that if I wanted to leave I had to pay him back the money he paid my agent but I told him that I did not know about that deal and I hadn't signed any contract that showed how much money he had paid for me so he called my agent and she told him that he was to do whatever he wanted with me because he paid for me and therefore he owned me. In fact, she sent him a voice message which he played for me. At that moment I knew that only God could save me so I resorted to prayer, like non-stop.

To make things worse, my sister who was studying in India passed away and he refused me to go for burial because he was sure that I wouldn't go back to work. I was a slave and from that moment they watched every step I made.

He had cameras in my room as well and he never liked the idea that I locked my room while I slept. I just wanted the ground to swallow me.

Anyways, one day I was not feeling well and they had to go visit the parents so I told him that I was going to stay behind and rest but he said no. I was in my room laying down and the door was locked. He asked me to open it and I refused so he broke it down but I still refused to go. That was it for me, in fact, that night I slept outside the house and prayed. I called the police the next morning.

When the police came I ran to the police car thinking that I was finally free and that they would take me to the police and everything would be resolved. But out of nowhere one policeman started slapping me and he pulled me out of the car.

The three of them started beating me and kicking me. I was bleeding everywhere but they wouldn't stop. I was screaming but nobody came to my rescue. All I could do was pray and all of a sudden I heard a voice telling me not to fear, that everything was gonna be ok and at that moment the pain was no more.

My prayer, "God, I'm not ready to die, I need another chance to go back home and feel the little hands of my son around my shoulders and to just be with my family one last time" I'm here because he answered and that is a miracle.

I was finally able to escape, I ran and ran and ran until I reached a certain trading centre and everyone was asking what was going on. I told them that I only wanted to go to the police.

The police car finally caught up with me and they took me to the police station. They asked me what I wanted and I told them that I just wanted to go home and be with my family. So the police asked my boss to buy me a ticket and to drop me off at the airport.

I told him that he didn't have to worry about me because I had forgiven him and his family because vengeance is the Lords. To cut the whole story short, I was able to get home safely but I was a mess.

I was psychologically tortured and I didn't want to talk to anyone. I couldn't sleep well for about 4months. It took about 6months for me to start talking and connecting to people again. I'm forever thankful to God and all my friends and family who have helped me on this journey to recovery.

I hope my story helps somebody out there not to make the same mistake I made.

What Is Human Trafficking?

Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain some type of labor or commercial sex act. Every year, millions of men, women, and children are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality.

Traffickers might use violence, manipulation, or false promises of well-paying jobs or romantic relationships to lure victims into trafficking situations.

Language barriers, fear of their traffickers, and/or fear of law enforcement frequently keep victims from seeking help, making human trafficking a hidden crime.

Traffickers use force, fraud, or coercion to lure their victims and force them into labor or commercial sexual exploitation.

They look for people who are susceptible for a variety of reasons, including psychological or emotional vulnerability, economic hardship, lack of a social safety net, natural disasters, or political instability. The trauma caused by the traffickers can be so great that many may not identify themselves as victims or ask for help, even in highly public settings.

As defined by UN/DHS blue campaign.

Proverbs 18:21; "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. "

You have more influence than you realize in your destiny.

Whether you are rich or poor, weak or strong, great or small, it's more dependent on you than God. He has already done all that is required for you to have the best life.

Jesus  declared,  "It is finished. " (John 19:30). All you have to do is enjoy everything that the death,  burial and resurrection of Christ Jesus provided for you.

You have been given everything you require to live triumphantly and happily. (2 Peter 1:3). Every time you speak,  you shape your life and future to align with God's provisions and destiny for you or in opposition with it. Where you are now is the result of what you said yesterday.

Therefore,  the next five or ten years will produce the harvest of your current words.

Words are powerful and important,  they create or destroy.

You determine how you want your life to be by the words you use. When you are faced with challenges, keep your confidence in the Lord and affirm the Word.

As you speak, the Spirit will cause things to happen in line with your words. Declare, "I'm healthy and strong because I have the life of God in me." It's up to you to create your triumphant life and blessed future with the Word of God.

The Word of God should be your life and makes you fruitful in every good work. All things work together for your good.

Romans 8:5-6; "5. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

6. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace." If you study the Scriptures,  you would observe that demon spirits are real and have come into people's homes and lives through animals,  birds, insects, etc.

Remember, Satan came into the Garden Of Eden in the form of a serpent. Not every insect or animal is normal.

A legion of demons requested permission from Jesus to enter into a herd of swine.

Mark 5:11-13; 11. Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding.

 12. And all the devils besought him, saying,  Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.  13. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out ,and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea." Life is spiritual. There are things you can't take lightly. You deal with them with God's Word and the Name of Jesus.

Many problems that people suffered came because they didn't take it seriously. They never used what Jesus gave them: His Name and His authority.

You must be discerning and bold to cast out devils, in whatever form they may come in. Before you think of medication for pain, rebuke the devil,  who is most likely the culprit.

Remember,  Jesus said we would cast out devils in His Name.

(Mark 16:17). You have been granted the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus. The dominion of  Satan in anyone and anything around you is broken.

Real Madrid Dismiss Bitter Rivals Barcelona

Just two points separate the two rivals at the top of La Liga, with Barcelona holding the lead.

So it probably shouldn’t be a surprise that the 90 minutes at the Bernabeu were tense.
Neither side wanted to lose and that showed.

However, it was Real who claimed all three points after Vinicius Junior found a way past the impressive Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

The Brazilian - who was having a tough night - broke the deadlock with 20 minutes remaining with an effort that deflected off Gerard Pique and past Ter Stegen at the near post.

With that goal, he became the youngest goalscorer in El Clasico, beating a record previously set by Lionel Messi.

Then, in the closing seconds, Mariano Diaz made it 2-0 with a goal on the break.
Real have now leapfrogged Barcelona at the top of the table and lead by one point with just 12 matches remaining.

The win could give them the momentum and impetus to go on and win their first La Liga since 2017.

But it was a frustrating night for Barca.-La Liga

What is Ash Wednesday?

Ash Wednesday marks the first day of Lent, and falls six and a half weeks before Easter.

The Lenten period is one of reflection and repentance of sin, with those who observe it expected to seek reconciliation with God.

Many choose to give up an indulgence, or fast, during Lent as a representation of the Temptation of Christ as he fasted for 40 days and nights in the Judaean Desert.

Why is it called Ash Wednesday?
Ash Wednesday gets its name from early traditions in the Christian Church in Rome, when penitents and sinners would partake in a period of public penance.

During this, they were sprinkled with ashes and dressed in a sackcloth until they were reconciled with church-goers on Maundy Thursday.

Benefits of drinking water

To function properly, all the cells and organs of the body need water.

Here are some reasons our body needs water:

1. It lubricates the joints
Cartilage, found in joints and the disks of the spine, contains around 80 percent water.

Long-term dehydration can reduce the joints’ shock-absorbing ability, leading to joint pain.

2. It forms saliva and mucus
Saliva helps us digest our food and keeps the mouth, nose, and eyes moist. This prevents friction and damage. Drinking water also keeps the mouth clean.

Consumed instead of sweetened beverages, it can also reduce tooth decay.

3. It delivers oxygen throughout the body
Blood is more than 90 percent water, and blood carries oxygen to different parts of the body.

4. It boosts skin health and beauty
With dehydration, the skin can become more vulnerable to skin disorders and premature wrinkling.

5. It cushions the brain, spinal cord, and other sensitive tissues
Dehydration can affect brain structure and function. It is also involved in the production of hormones and neurotransmitters. Prolonged dehydration can lead to problems with thinking and reasoning.

6. It regulates body temperature
Water that is stored in the middle layers of the skin comes to the skin’s surface as sweat when the body heats up. As it evaporates, it cools the body. In sport.

Some scientists have suggested that when there is too little water in the body, heat storage increases and the individual is less able to tolerate heat strain.
Having a lot of water in the body may reduce physical strain if heat stress occurs during exercise. However, more research is needed into these effects.

7, The digestive system depends on it
The bowel needs water to work properly. Dehydration can lead to digestive problems, constipation , and an overly acidic stomach. This increases the risk of
heartburn and stomach ulcers.

8. It flushes body waste
Water is needed in the processes of sweating and removal of urine and waste.

9. It helps maintain blood pressure
A lack of water can cause blood to become thicker, increasing blood pressure.

10. The airways need it
When dehydrated, airways are restricted by the body in an effort to minimize water loss. This can make asthma and allergies worse.

11. It makes minerals and nutrients accessible
These dissolve in water , which makes it possible for them to reach different parts of the body.

12. It prevents kidney damage
The kidneys regulate fluid in the body. Insufficient water can lead to kidney stones and other problems.

13. It boosts performance during exercise
Dehydration during exercise may hinder performance.
Some scientists have proposed that consuming more water might enhance performance during strenuous activity.
More research is needed to confirm this, but one review found that dehydration reduces performance in activities lasting longer than 30 minutes.

14. Weight loss
Water may also help with weight loss, if it is consumed instead of sweetened juices and sodas. “Preloading” with water before meals can help prevent overeating by creating a sense of fullness.

15. It reduces the chance of a hangover
When partying, unsweetened soda water with ice and lemon alternated with alcoholic drinks can help prevent overconsumption of alcohol.

Water helps dissolve minerals and nutrients, making them more accessible to the body. It also helps remove waste products.

2Peter 1:3; "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:"

The Apostle Paul had no consciousness of lack just as the same as the Lord Jesus.

He understood that as new creations in Christ, we are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ.

So, when Paul said, Philippians 4:19; "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. " He was addressing the spiritually immature.

When you come of age, you will realize that in Christ we don't have any unmet needs. Matthew 6:33; "Seek ye first the kingdom of God,  and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. "

When you seek the Kingdom of God first, every good thing you could wish for is added without you having to ask. You will not need to pursue fame, money, recognition, etc. They are in the Kingdom that you have inherited
He has given you the Kingdom. (Luke 12:33; Luke 17:21)
If you have the Kingdom, you have everything . Never look at what you consider a need.

Instead,  look at what God has already made available to you in Christ. Christ owns the whole world and you are one with Him
(1Corinthians 1:9). Affirm God's Word in your life. He has said all things are yours.  Declare it and live accordingly.  You are in a place of wealth, a large place,  where you lack nothing.

The Preacher's Sincere Talk

Never Mock Servants of God

Never mock your HUSBAND

Your husband is the head of your family. This is God's order. Mocking him is defying the laws of God.
Micah mocked David her husband. She called him a " vain fellow shamelessly uncovering himself". When you begin to call your husband names, you are in for serious trouble.
Her womb was closed. She never had a child for David.
When you mock your husband, it will adversely affect the innocent children. (Read 2 Samuel 6)

Never mock your FATHER

The Bible is very clear and explicit. Reuben went to sleep with his father's concubine and he ended up with a curse. This is mockery.
Absalom chased his father away from the throne.

 He died unceremoniously.
Whatever you do to bring shame to your father is mockery.
Mothers, never instigate your children against their father. It will be too dangerous for them. Whatever disagreements you have with their father stops with you. Do not extend it.
Remember, the Bible only talks about the Father's Blessing. Let the heart of their father bless the children. Malachi 4:6 says... whosoever separates children from their father, upon them shall be a curse. (NLT)
If you are guilty of this, please humble yourself and go and make things right with your father. If you don't, life will be a struggle for you. Be wise.

Never mock a true SERVANT OF GOD

Some youths came out of nowhere and began to chant a mockery song against Elisha. They were torn into pieces by bears.

I met an elderly man in Benin who shared his experience. He said, on the morning Archbishop Benson Idahosa's death was announced, he was so excited because he hated the man with passion.

He said he sent for two of his friends and they began to toast to Archbishop's death. While still making noise and bantering in his sitting room, some people ran into his house and told him a gravel tipper had just knocked down his son on his way to lectures at Uniben. The young undergraduate died on the spot.

The elderly man in his seventies said..... 'I have learnt never to mock a true servant of God'.

I have a praying group. One of the women there approached me to come lead the husband to Christ on his death bed. In humility, the man surrendered his life to Jesus and there was an aura of peace on his embattled face. Before he breathed his last, he said...... "All my life, I have mocked servants of God. We are 5 friends and all of them died this way.

I am the last of them but now I have made peace with God"
Never join anyone to mock true servants of God. Job said, what I do not know, I searched out.

This is the wisdom of great people. Wise people do not despise SPIRITUAL DIGNITARIES.

Don't hesitate to spread Good News

The little boy put on his clothes for the cold and then told his father:

"Ok dad I'm ready"

His Dad, the pastor, said: "Ready for what?"

"Dad, it's time to go outside and distribute our flyers."

Dad replied: "Son, it's very cold outside and it's drizzling."

The child looked surprised at his father and said: "But dad, people need to know about God even on rainy days."

Dad replied, "Son, I'm not going outside in this weather."

With despair, the child said: "Dad, can I go alone? Please!"

His father waited for a moment and then said: "Son, you can go. Here's the flyers, be careful."

"Thank you dad!"

And with this, the son went out into the rain. The 11-Year-old walked all the streets of the village, handing out the flyers to the people he saw.

After 2 hours walking in the rain and in the cold and with his last flyer in his hand, he stopped in a corner to see if he saw someone to give the flyer too, but the streets were totally deserted. Then he turned to the first house he saw, walked to the front door, touched the bell several times and waited, but no one came out.

Finally the boy turned to leave, but something stopped him. The child turned back to the door and began to touch the bell and pound the door strongly with his knuckles. He kept waiting. Finally the door was opened gently.

A lady came out with a very sad look and gently asked:

"What can I do for you, son?
With radiant eyes and a bright smile the child said:

"Lady, I'm sorry if I upset you, but I just want to tell you that God really loves you and that I came to give you my last flyer, which talks about God and His great love

The boy then gave her the flyer.

She just said, "Thank you, son, God bless you!"

Well, next Sunday morning, the pastor was in the pulpit and when the service began he asked:

"Someone has a testimony or something they want to share?"

Gently, in the back row of the church, an older lady stood up. When she started talking, a radiant and glorious look sprouted from her eyes:

"Nobody in this church knows me. I have never been here, even last Sunday I was not Christian.

My husband died a while ago leaving me totally alone in this world. Last Sunday was a particularly cold and rainy day, and it was also in my heart; that on that day I came to the end of the road, since I had no hope and didn't want to live anymore.

Then I took a chair and a rope and went up to the attic of my house. I tied and one end of the rope to the rafters of the roof; then I climbed onto the chair and put the other end of the rope around my neck.

I then stood on the chair, so alone and heartbroken, I was about to throw myself off the chair, when suddenly I heard the loud sound of the door being knocked.

So I thought: "I'll wait for a minute and whoever it is will go"

I waited and waited, but the door knocking was getting louder and louder every time. It got so loud that I couldn't ignore it anymore.

So I wondered, who could it be?
No one ever comes close to my door or come to visit me!
I released the rope from my neck and went to the door, while the bell was still ringing and the door was still being knocked on.

When I opened the door, I couldn't believe what my eyes saw, in front of my door was the most radiant and angelic child I've ever seen.

He's smile, ohhh, I can never describe it! The words that came out of his mouth made my heart, dead so long ago, come back to life, when he said  "Lady, I just want to tell you that God really loves you"

"When the little angel disappeared between the cold and the rain, I closed my door and read every word of the flyer.
Then I went to the attic to remove the chair and rope.

I didn't need them anymore. As you see. Now I am a happy daughter of the King.
As the direction of the boy, when he left, was to this church, I came personally say thank you to that little angel of God who came just in time and, in fact, to rescue my life from an eternity in hell. And replaced it with an eternity in God's presence. "

Everyone cried in the church.

The Pastor came down from the pulpit to the first bench of the front, where the little angel was sitting; he took his son in his arms and cried uncontrollably.

Remember, God's message can make a big difference in someone's life, never be afraid to spread it.

Points to note in life

A poor  church in Nyeri was leaking and the walls were almost collapsing.

After the service the Pastor asked the worshipers if they could organise a fundraising next week on Sunday to rebuild the church.

He told them to contribute whatever God has blessed each and everyone of them with.

"If you have some money, you can bring the money. If you earn a living by selling tomatoes in the market, you can bring the tomatoes and they get them auctioned to raise the money. If you operate a hardware it would be even better; you can bring some nails and iron sheets for the roof. Whatever you have."

Eventually, it was the day of fundraising and worshippers came out in large numbers, some with money in their pockets, others with goods depending on their jobs and sources of livelihood.

They were met by a strange sight; a coffin at the entrance of the church!

Gosh! Who had died?

But then in SDA church, funeral services are never brought to the church.

What was going on?

People started talking in whispers asking what was the meaning of it.

They started pointing fingers to Wamùmbe seated at a corner; he was the coffin maker.

Some looked at him in open hostility, but he didn't mind them.

The Pastor had said that people should bring whatever God has blessed you with, right?

And Wamùmbe was a coffin maker...

After sermon, it was time to raise funds; those who had money contributed, hardware people gave iron sheets and other building equipments and materials; tomato traders had brought their tomatoes which were auctioned away.

Finally, Wamùmbe dragged his coffin to the front of the church and stood still... people gasped and fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.

Suddenly Mburu , a friend of Wamùmbe stood up. He offered Ksh 15,000 for the coffin on behalf of the Pastor. He said he was buying it for the Pastor.

The Pastor shot up so fast with eyes wide open, his lips suddenly very dry.

He quickly offered Ksh 20,000 for the coffin on behalf of Women Ministry leader - Mama Karanja.

The Lady nearly stumbled as she sprang to her feet looking so shocked at seeing her coffin,  "No! no! no!" She shouted, "it is not mine! I ...I ... I..will buy it for the First Elder!..Ksh 30,000 please!... please!

The First Elder nearly peed on himself.

He turned to look at her angrily as if to ask "do you want to kill me?!"

Clearly nobody wanted the coffin and it kept on being passed around until finally another old rich man stood at the back and said that he is offering Ksh 100,000 for the coffin and he is buying it on behalf of Mr Wamùmbe the coffin maker.

Wamùmbe took his coffin and returned it to his shop ...smiling.

Wamùmbe, someone who was looked down upon, someone whom people jeered that he benefits from the misfortunes of others, raised the greatest amount of money for the church without contributing even a single coin.

You can serve God in many different ways.

Perhaps people belittle you until you see yourself as a nobody.... but God wants you just the way you are.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
I Corinthians 15:58.

Appreciate what the Lord has made you to be!.

What is the purpose of the church?

Acts 2:42 could be considered a purpose statement for the church: "They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." According to this verse, the purposes/activities of the church should be 1) teaching biblical doctrine, 2) providing a place of fellowship for believers, 3) observing the Lord's supper, and 4) praying.

The church is to teach biblical doctrine so we can be grounded in our faith.

Ephesians 4:14 tells us, "Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming." The church is to be a place of fellowship, where Christians can be devoted to one another and honor one another (Romans 12:10), instruct one another (Romans 15:14), be kind and compassionate to one another (Ephesians 4:32), encourage one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11), and most importantly, love one another (1 John 3:11).

The church is to be a place where believers can observe the Lord's Supper, remembering Christ's death and shed blood on our behalf (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). The concept of "breaking bread" (Acts 2:42) also carries the idea of having meals together.

This is another example of the church promoting fellowship. The final purpose of the church according to Acts 2:42 is prayer. The church is to be a place that promotes prayer, teaches prayer, and practices prayer.

Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Another commission given to the church is proclaiming the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). The church is called to be faithful in sharing the gospel through word and deed. The church is to be a "lighthouse" in the community, pointing people toward our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The church is to both promote the gospel and prepare its members to proclaim the gospel (1 Peter 3:15).

Some final purposes of the church are given in James 1:27: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." The church is to be about the business of ministering to those in need.

This includes not only sharing the gospel, but also providing for physical needs (food, clothing, shelter) as necessary and appropriate. The church is also to equip believers in Christ with the tools they need to overcome sin and remain free from the pollution of the world. This is done by biblical teaching and Christian fellowship.

So, what is the purpose of the church? Paul gave an excellent illustration to the believers in Corinth. The church is God's hands, mouth, and feet in this world"the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).

We are to be doing the things that Jesus Christ would do if He were here physically on the earth. The church is to be "Christian," "Christ-like," and Christ-following.

…There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears.
Philippians 1:6, MSG

How you start is not important.

Don’t let what you think is a disadvantage or a bad break cause you to say, “If I’d had a better childhood, if I had more support, if I didn’t have this dysfunction, I could do something great.” That’s where you started, but that’s not where you’re going to finish. The beginning doesn’t determine your destiny.

The apostle Paul did not say that God will bring you “to a defeated finish,” “an unfair finish,” “a lonely finish,” or a “bankrupt finish.” God has a victorious finish, an abundant finish, “a flourishing finish.” When those thoughts tell you, “It’s never going to work out. You have too many disadvantages,” let those lies go in one ear and out the other.

God has established the end, and He loves to take people who start with the odds against them and shine down His favor, give them breaks, increase them, and cause them to do extraordinary things.

“Father, thank You that Your plans for me are for good. I may not understand everything along the way, and it may not have been fair, but I’m not going to live worried, upset, or discouraged. I know You’re bringing me to a flourishing finish. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Be Serious in Church!

“Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.” Ecclesiastes 5:1 (KJV)

One’s seriousness in church attracts blessings from God, and one’s seriousness is noted by their readiness to hear the Word of God and to follow instructions in the church. Being ignorant of the proceedings in church will deny you of your blessings (Hosea 4:6). Be alert to learn and to do what God has instructed at every service.

Those that complain about the church are the ones that offer the sacrifice of fools due to their lack of readiness to hear and follow instruction.

Dear beloved, don’t allow anybody to distract you during the church service. Prepare to receive all the blessings God has in store for you, and you will never be part of the murmurers. Hallelujah! Be an overcomer!

Prayer Point: Dear Lord, keep distractors away from me so I can receive all the blessings you have for me in church. In Jesus Name

“Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.” Ecclesiastes 7:8 (KJV)

Patience is an attribute of God.

This virtue is seen in the Holy Spirit, and He bears this fruit in us when we allow Him to work in us. The fruit of patience is borne in us through trials (James 1:2–4).

The child of God who is patient is able to trust and wait on God till the end to see His promises fulfilled in their life. They start a project and are able to complete it no matter how long it takes.

Dear beloved, cooperate with the Holy Spirit, and allow the fruit of patience to be borne in you. Without patience, you cannot walk with God. Abraham was patient with God for twenty-five years before enjoying the promise of his son Isaac.

Joseph was patient for thirteen years before God made him a prime minister of Egypt. Beloved, how long have you waited? Keep being patient, and God will surely visit you. Hallelujah! Be patient!

Prayer Point: Dear Heavenly Father, please give me the grace to be able to bear the fruit of patience. In Jesus Name. Amen!!

Klopp Reveals Liverpool Winning Philosophy

Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool's success bringing in a new set of transfer problems as his team is now so good, even the biggest names fear they couldn’t get in it.

The Reds remain unbeaten this season with a massive 19-point lead at the top of the English Premier League table. They are just five wins away from their first championship in three decades.

A couple of big names have been linked with the club in recent months with Germany’s Timo Werner the latest star who went on to describe them as the best in world.

But Klopp has other beliefs in the transfer business. He told the Mirror newspaper that it’s not easy as it looks.

He said: “If they see you are successful, it’s easier to get into talks with players. But on the other side, it’s more difficult the better your team is because they ask questions like ‘where and when would I play?’

“We need players who want to be part of this, who want to fight for their spot, who want to make the next step together with us, who want to develop and improve so that’s it.

“We have these players and whoever wants to join us, needs to have exactly this kind of attitude.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool will return to action this evening when they face West Ham in their Matchday 27 encounter at Anfield.

ZIFA, PSL Clash Over CHAN Fixtures

ZIFA and the Premier Soccer League are on a collision course over the impending delay to the start of the 2020 season, a move seen as potentially throwing into disarray preparations for the African Nations Championship finals.

New Zimbabwe national team coach Zdravko Logarusic has demanded an early kick-off to the league campaign to allow him ample time to assess players he would want to take to Chan.

An alleged match-fixing case involving Herentals is yet to be concluded, stalling the confirmation of all teams that will take part in the 2020 season.

ZIFA spokesperson, Xolisani Gwesela, said they are in communication with the PSL for a speedy resolution of the matter.

“We are obviously engaging the PSL on that (early start of the league) to try and come up with a win-win situation. The engagement process is ongoing,” said Gwesela.

But the PSL have denied any discussions with ZIFA, a response which throws into uncertainty Logarusic’s Chan plans and angers the local football governing body.

League games had been tentatively slated to start early next month, and PSL spokesperson Kudzai Bare insisted that fixtures will only be released on March 6.

What is, however, certain so far is the Castle Challenge Cup between FC Platinum and Highlanders which is scheduled for March 14.

“We have not heard from ZIFA or their coach, we have not received any communication from ZIFA,” said Bare.

“We will discuss modalities when they communicate. We will announce (the fixtures) after our (annual general meeting) AGM on 6 March.”

However, when CHAN was previously held in January and February, Zimbabwe would go to the tournament before the start of the PSL season but after having a December training camp.

Next week ZIFA will reveal Logarusic’s CHAN plans amid talk of a 10-day training camp at the start of next month.

The PSL have already said the league will not be halted during the CHAN finals.-Farpost
