Kanye West Releases New Gospel Video

Over the holiday weekend, rapper Kanye West released his latest music video for “Closed on Sunday,” his pro-family song from his recent album Jesus is King .

The video opens with Kanye and his wife, Kim Kardashian West, holding their four children—6-year-old North, 3-year-old Saint, 1-year-old Chicago, and 6-month-old Psalm—nestled into a rock crevice. The two-and-a-half-minute video, recorded on West’s ranch in Wyoming, continues with the lyrics:

When you got daughters, always keep ‘em safe
Watch out for vipers, don’t let them indoctrinate
Closed on Sunday, you my Chick-fil-A
You’re my number one, with the lemonade
Raise our sons, train them in the faith

Through temptations, make sure they’re wide awake
Follow Jesus, listen and obey
No more livin’ for the culture, we nobody’s slave
Towards the end of the video, a smiling Kanye stands in the middle of the whole West-Kardashian family as the camera pans outward.

The Sunday Choir then steps in to finish out the song, repeating the refrain:

“Jezebel don’t have a chance.” A shot also shows Kanye on his knees in prayer.
Also featured in the video is West’s father, Ray West.

The rapper and his father also appeared together in the “Follow God ” music video.

COVENANT DEVOTION

(By Prophet Owen Ganda)

You Will Make It
*[[Psa 30:5]] KJV* ....weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Wilderness experience and storms come for a reason and for a season. Discover the reason and become wiser. Outlast the season and become strong. But never quit! You may feel discouraged at the moment, but you're not finished yet and can never be finished.

That only happens when you quit-and quitting isn't an option for you. Ever heard of any quitter-just one- who ever accomplished anything worthwhile?

We don't give in or give up... l say again bodly  "WE DON'T"

It is in tough times that true character is forged. It's when the bottom drops out, and life tries to pound you into a corner of doubt & unbelief, that you discover perseverance, courage and faith!

[Rom 8:28]] KJV And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Success is not measured by what a man accomplishes, but by the opposition he encountered, and the courage he maintained in his struggle against it.

*[[Rom 8:31]] KJV What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Keep going after your dreams and God given vision.Keep your guard and be willing to fight the for it. There is no defeat, except in no longer trying. Defeat and failure is not your portion.Keep on trying, don't give up you are winner through Christ that strengthens you.

Tough times and will pass but the sun will shine. They will not kill you. There are there to make you stronger and stronger. Weeping  may endure for  a night but joy comes in the morning.

You will fufill your purpose. The devil cannot stop you. You are a winner. You are a Victor. You are a warrior. You will get your evidence .You will make it in this LIFE in Jesus name.

Nickelodeon Actor Now A Youth Pastor

Former Nickelodeon comedy actor Kel Mitchell recently announced that he’s become a youth pastor at a church in California, according to the
Christian Post.

“Blessed and thankful for my Spirit Food [Christian Center] Family and thank you Pastor [Garry D.] Zeigler for seeing the calling of God on my life and trusting me with your youth department,” Mitchell said in a
Facebook post .

He continued to quote Romans 8:28-29 : “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.”

Mitchell is known for his roles in the ‘90s sketch comedy show “All That” and sitcom “Kenan & Kel” with now
SNLcast member, Kenan Thompson.

He also went on to star in the movie “Good Burger.”
But his career struggled to take flight after those roles and he dipped into depression in 2015.

“I have been through so many ups and downs in my life,” Mitchell said on his website.

“Suicidal, divorce, drug and alcohol usage, deep in sin, dealing with the lost (sic) of [loved] ones to gang violence, debt, hurt, pain, vanity, lust, heartbreak, feeling LOST looking for answers. I have seen, felt and been in all types of sin and have been done wrong by others.”

After his divorce, he felt like he “hit a wall,” according to the Christian Post. As the grandson of a pastor, he realized that he needed to turn to Christ to find peace and healing.

ZRP Cops Arrested For Assaulting Suspect

SEVEN police officers from Bulawayo have been arrested for allegedly storming a Njube man’s bedroom before assaulting him as he lay naked on the floor while threatening to shoot him for failing to pay a $1 500 fine.

The police officers stationed at the Njube and Bulawayo Central police stations identified as Samuel Marava, Leonard Mlezane, Kudakwashe Saungweme, Abious Munatsi, Edgar Muduva, Vincent Dube and Colen Zumo allegedly assaulted Mr Edmond Makonese (56) for failing to pay the fine at the Tredgold Magistrates Court.

The cops pleaded not guilty to assault charges before West Commonage magistrate Mr Stephen Ndlovu yesterday.

The magistrate remanded them out of custody on free bail to December 31 for continuation of trial.

It is alleged that Mr Makonese defaulted paying a fine after he was found operating as an agent in the city centre without a licence.
The courts had fined him $1 500.

The police officers allegedly went to look for Mr Makonese at his home in connection with a warrant of arrest that was issued against him for failing to pay the fine.

The court heard that the officers saw the complainant’s son, Tatenda, who was outside the house and allegedly assaulted him demanding to know where his father was hiding.

They allegedly stormed into the complainant’s bedroom and assaulted him while threatening him with a firearm.

Prosecuting, Mr Tony Kamudyariwa said on March 6 this year at around 7:30AM, police officers stormed into Mr Makonese’s bedroom armed with a pistol and batons.

He said they found him changing clothes and ordered him to lie down naked.

“The police officers assaulted the complainant by hitting him with hands, booted feet and baton sticks several times intending to cause bodily harm,” he said.

Mr Kamudyariwa said one of the police officers threatened to shoot Mr Makonese who was now screaming in pain as he was being assaulted.

He said Mr Makonese sustained chest injuries, swollen eyes and a deep cut on his forehead and was admitted to Mpilo Central Hospital.

Makonese’s neighbour, Mr Samuel Phiri testified that he saw Makonese walking barefooted with blood gushing from his head.

“I was so worried when I saw my neighbour half naked, in the company of many police officers who were busy assaulting him on his way to the police station. His head was covered with of blood,” said Mr Phiri.State media

Virtue Versus Vice

 *Bible Text: Proverbs 29:23(KJV)*

_A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit._

Pride and humility are extremely opposite morals of differing values. They all are issues of the heart.

Humility is a *virtue* of dignity and respect.  Pride is a *vice* of vanity and false opinion of oneself.

Simply because pride is blind to true values it survives on a false sense and deceived opinion of reality.

Pride  hides behind faked pictures and misleading portrayals of reality.  At the end of the day when reality is revealed,  pride disappears into social archives like vapour disappering into thin air.

Nothing of pride remains behind as a legacy to next generation.  Pride has no value.  It is an empty ego of inferiority complex.  It brings its victims down to the bottomless pit of shame and embarrassment.

 *Proverbs 11:2(KJV)*

_When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom._

The first creature to be identified with the vanity of pride in the Bibie is Lucifer.

All people under this Luciferian spirit of pride have no sense of proper value and vision for life.

They live under a false assumotion that they are the best of all characters yet they are the worst.

The following scripture passage is Biblical narrative of the creature that was  first identified with pride in Heaven. The creature is Lucufèr by name but a direct representation of Satan.

 *Isaiah 14:12-15(KJV* )

_How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!_

_For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:_

_I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High_ .

_Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit_ .

Lucifer imagined himself going higher and higher than everybody else and even imagine himself being like GOD.

He was a creature created to worship but envied God's worship and desired it for himself instead of giving it to God.

When that was registered in the heavenly courts it became Lucifer's demise and doom. He was brought low to estates of the dead.

Pride will help you dig you own grave of humiliation.
Pride brings down  and not  up. Adam was affected by the same spirit of pride  and he came tumbling down to levels of shame.

 *Genesis 3:7(KJV)*

_And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons._

Our Lord was the most humble person on earth in his time and God exalted him above all.

 *Philippians 2:5-9(KJV)*

_Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:_

_Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God_ :

_But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men_ :

_And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross._

_Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:_

Christ was the epitome  and perfect example  of humility to human kind.  He set the bar of humility low enough for all to benefit except the proud.

 *Psalms 10:4(KJV)*

_The wicked, through the *pride* of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts_ .

Pride has no room for God.  The proud keep God out of their minds.

One of the weaknesses of pride if not its wickedness,  it does not take advice.  Pride does not seek advice under the false pretence that all is well.

There is a thin line between pride and hypocrisy such that you can hardly notice the difference  Hypocrisy paints a false picture of reality and so does pride.  These two vices,  pride and hypocrisy,  are twin sisters of deception.

When you share accommodation with sister pride or sister hypocrisy,  you will live under a canopy self-deception

Humility is a godly virtue but pride is an evil vice.

This discussion of humility versus pride serves to unveil the deception of pride and the blessing of humility.

 _*1 Peter 5:6(KJV)*_

_Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time_ :

RESTORING LOST GLORY

“For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.

Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.” (Job 22:26-29)

Say to yourself now, “I take back my lost glory; Satan you are a liar”.

Naturally, many people usually look down when there is a casting down. Occurrences that result in casting down are always precipitated by situations that represent a downward turn in fortunes.

However, when you summon up the courage to stir up your belief in the unfailing Word of God, then a lifting up is provoked in your spirit.

In Luke 21:28a, Jesus says, “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

He was referring to situations that cast one down such as adversities, misfortunes, and problems.

Jesus cautions in the same Luke 21:28 that when such things begin to happen, first, you should ‘look up’, then ‘lift up your head’.

Because all those around you are already cast down by the challenges and problems of life and are looking down. You must make the difference by lifting up your head and looking up.

Jesus concludes that verse by saying that when you look up and lift up your head, then is your redemption nearer you. When you bow your head because of your condition, you cannot see your redemption.

The key to understanding Luke 21:28, quoted above, is the word redemption, which simply means ‘buying back’.

There are things you can buy back and there are ways you can buy them back. For example, you can buy back a house and a car with money. But you can’t buy your life with money.

Prayer/Confession: Father, please restore my lost glory in Jesus name. Amen!

Words of Wisdom: You can buy back a shop taken away from you after negotiation; but you cannot buy back your glory with money.

Learn To Help Others

Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you.
Ecclesiastes 11:1, NLT

TODAY'S WORD:
God’s system works on the principle of sowing and reaping. What you pour out will come back to you in increased measure.

When you give generously, a generous harvest will return to you. When you help others succeed, you will find abundant success on your path, too. What are you investing in the lives of the people around you?

Are you helping others get ahead? There are people in your life who hold the keys for you to reach your full potential. These are people whom God has placed in your life for you to help along. The higher they rise, the higher you will rise.

When you give generously of your time, talent and resources, you are setting yourself up for greater success.

People will come across your path who will help you grow and reach your full potential. But you have to do your part to step out and sow the seed. Be on the lookout for ways you can help others. As you give of yourself to help others grow, you’ll rise higher and live the abundant life He has in store for you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father in heaven, I open my heart to Your heart. I invite You to use me to be a blessing in the lives of others.

Show me where to invest my time, talent, and resources for Your glory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Points to note in life

1. Popcorns are normally fried in the same pot, in the same oil, at the same time and under the same heat conditions, But they do not all pop at the same time.

2. When flood comes, fish eat ants and When flood recedes, ants eat fish, Only time matters.
3. To make soap, oil is required and to clean oil, soap is required. This is the irony of life.

Everybody needs somebody at any one point in time. Do not despise or treat anyone with scorn when they are excelling or failing more than you. There is time for everything and for everyone. Keep TRUSTING in God and WAITING for your turn. Your time to POP will come at God's appointed time. NEVER GIVE UP! He makes all things beautiful in his own time.

To understand what life is,  you have to visit three locations:_
1. The hospital,
2. The prison and
3. The Cemetery.

*At the Hospital,*
you will understand that nothing is more beautiful than health.

*In prison,*
you'll see that freedom is the most precious thing.

The ground we walk about  today will be our roof tomorrow.

Let us therefore remain humble by having the fear of God and respect for everyone in our society.

May the grace and mercy of the Almighty God follow us everyday....Enjoy the rest of the day.

Always remember those around you

I have in my hands two boxes, which God gave me to hold.

He said " Put all your sorrows in the black box, and all your joys in the gold.' I heeded His words, and in the two boxes both my joys and sorrows I stored. But thought the gold became heavier each day, the black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black, I wanted to find out why; And saw in the base of the box, a hole which my sorrows had fallen out. I showed the hole to God, and mused, "I wonder where my sorrows could be." He smiled a gentle smile and said "My child, they're all here with me. I asked God, why He gave me the boxes, why the gold, and the black with the hole? My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings, the black is for you to let go."

Thank You Father GOD for Blessing me with 2 very caring parents both Resting In Peace, four wonderful children, a beautiful DIL, 2 adorable grandchildren, 4 loving sisters, 2 loving brothers, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

We should consider all of our family members and friends as blessings. I know I truly do.

He Will Respond

Scripture and Reference: "Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring."
Hosea 6:3, NLT

TODAY'S WORD:
God promises that He is near to those who call upon His name. It doesn’t matter where you are or what you’re going through; He is your deliverer. He’ll bring light into your darkest hour. He’ll bring rain into the dry places. He’ll bring restoration and healing to the broken places.

When you call on His name, you can be assured that He will respond. As sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, God will faithfully respond when you seek Him. Sometimes people think they have to clean themselves up or change their behavior or habits before they can turn to Him, but that’s not what God says. He is ready to receive you just as you are. Even if you feel like a mess, His arms are open wide today. Open your heart and call upon Him. Press on to know Him and His goodness.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father in heaven, thank You for always receiving me with open arms. I choose today to give You all that I am. I choose to press on that I may know You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

GIFT OF TONGUES

“And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting….And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost…” (Acts 2:1-4)

Serving God without being baptized in the Holy Ghost and having the gift of speaking in tongues is quite frustrating.

We are in the times when you need the Holy Spirit more than you ever needed Him. No Christian can serve God faithfully and effectively without the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

This is because, when you speak in tongue, the Devil is confused as he cannot discern what you are saying.

This is the empowerment of Christians beginning from the early church.  The day of Pentecost has not lost its power.

We are experiencing the same outpouring of the Spirit of God in various dimensions according to your gifts in the body of Christ.

Prophecy and Vision

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” (Acts 2:17)

God speaks to us through dreams. He opens visions to us.

Jesus our Lord Himself is opening to us what the Holy Spirit does, so that when you seem not to hear him audibly or by intuition, you can ask Him to speak to you in the language you understand.

In Jesus name, the entrance of God through the Holy Spirit will cancel every satanic dream you had that is hurting you.

I employ the spirit of God to show you only positive dreams that will move you forward.

Prayer/Confession: Holy Spirit, befriend me today. I love you. Do your work in my life, in Jesus’ name.

Words of Wisdom: God speaks to us through dreams. He opens visions to us.

Real Madrid, Valencia Share Spoils

A late goal from red hot forward  Karim Benzema rescued   Real Madrid from defeat in a  1-1 draw against Valencia in the 17th week of the ongoing La Liga season at Mestalla Stadium.

According to The Statesman, When it looked like Valencia were going to win the match with a one-goal difference, Benzema netted the equaliser in 90+5th minute, picking up a loose ball inside the area.

Zinedine Zidane’s men will go in to the Clasico level on points with Barcelona and on a run of 11 undefeated games.

Both the sides remained goalless in the first half.

In the second half, just when Madrid started attacking the opposition box with increased regularity, the Valencia goal arrived as Carlos Soler finished off a swift counter led by Wass in the 78th minute.

From then on, the Whites went all out in search of the equaliser, leaving spaces at the back. Their efforts paid dividend in the waning moments when Benzema drew the second and last blood of the game.

Notably, Barcelona were held by Real Sociedad to a 2-2 draw in a nail-biting La Liga match on Saturday as Blaugrana’s poor run at the Anoeta Stadium continued.

The draw had given Real Madrid a chance to take over the first place ahead of next week’s Clasico, but draw against Valencia has kept them at the second position.

Real Madrid play Barcelona in the most-awaited Clasico on December 18, Wednesday night.

Christian Doctor Prays For Patient

A Christian doctor in the United Kingdom has been cleared of any wrongdoing following a three-month investigation into an allegation that his praying made a patient uncomfortable.

The General Medical Council, which oversees and licenses doctors, cleared Richard Scott and said there was no evidence that Scott, 59, had done anything wrong.

The National Secular Society (NSS) had lodged the complaint on behalf of a “highly vulnerable” patient who allegedly “felt discomfort at the use of prayer.”

Scott, who sometimes prays with patients, could have lost his license and job.

The General Medical Council said in a letter there was “no first-hand account of complaint from any patient about Dr Scott’s practice.”

“The NSS sent an anonymous hearsay account about how Dr Scott expressed his religious beliefs to a ‘highly vulnerable’ patient,” the General Medical Council said.

“There is no convincing evidence that Dr. Scott imposes his personal religious beliefs upon potentially vulnerable patients.”

Further, the General Medical Council said there “is no evidence that [Dr Scott] discusses faith in situations where the patient has stated that they do not wish to discuss these matters” or that “he has continued to discuss faith after a patient has indicated that they do not welcome such a discussion.”

Scott, who was supported by the Christian Legal Centre, said the NSS “was targeting not just me” but “also the freedom of Christian professionals across the UK to share their faith in the workplace.”

“The toll placed on my family and me, as a result of one spurious complaint, was totally unnecessary,” he said.

“Yet it is my hope that this outcome will mean other Christian practitioners will not have to go through similar experiences.”

Andrea Williams, chief executive of the Christian Legal Centre, applauded the General Medical Council’s decision.

“The outcome of this case,” she said, “not only gives reassurance to Christian doctors and professionals across the UK that they can share their faith in the workplace, but also clear guidance on how they can share it without fear of losing their job.”

1000 give their lives to Christ

More than 23,000 heard the Gospel and 1,396 made the decision to give their live to Christ during a two-day Franklin Graham Festival over the weekend in Cambodia, a nation that is 98 percent Buddhist.

“Did you know that you have a soul?”

Graham asked the crowd. “One day you will die, but your soul continues to live. Your soul will live in the presence of God, or it will be separated from God.

The decision you make tonight will decide where your soul will spend eternity.”
The “Love Phnom Penh Festival with Franklin Graham” was held Dec.

7-8 in the same country where Christianity was nearly eliminated during the Khmer Rouge – a genocide in the 1970s that sought to eliminate religion and develop a “master race” under the leadership of Pol Pot. It was the focus of the film The Killing Fields.

An estimated 2 million people died, and only about 200 Christians survived the atrocities, according to a press release.

 Missionaries fled during the genocide.
Local Christian leaders say the Festival had a major impact.

It was the largest Christian outreach ever in the country, with 23,700 attending,
Christian Newswire reports .

“The Holy Spirit has touched our city and entire land. We are thankful that people heard the Gospel that Jesus is the Truth, Way and Life,” said Sin Somnang, pastor of Fellowship Church of Pochentong and the Festival’s general chairman.

“This will be a blessing for our country and our spiritual legacy to be remembered for the next generation through the Festival.”

Among those who made a decision for Christ was 59-year-old Chhimreth. She had heard of Jesus before, but had not made Him Lord of her life.

“I feel very happy and joyful,” Chhimreth said through a translator.
Local churches will follow up with those who made decisions.

“We pray this [Festival] will open the door for more of the Lord’s work in the future,” Graham said.

Grace and Peace To You

May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.
2 Thessalonians 1:2, NLT

TODAY'S WORD:
Grace and peace are powerful forces in the life of the believer.

Grace empowers us, and peace directs us. It’s like this: grace is the gas, and peace is the navigation system. You need both to reach your destination. The Scripture tells us that we are saved by God’s grace through faith.

We don’t deserve it and can’t do anything to earn His grace, but He gives it to us anyway.

Grace opens the door to salvation, but it doesn’t stop there. His grace is also a supernatural empowerment to live the life God has called us to here on earth.

Peace is every bit as powerful. It’s not just a feeling; it’s a state of being.

Peace literally means “to set at one again.” When we are at one with the heavenly Father in thought, word and deed, we can physically feel it on the inside. We are settled internally, and nothing external can move us from our position of peace.

Today, receive His grace and peace and let them carry you into the life of victory He has ordained for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
"Father, thank You for Your grace and peace at work in my life.

I choose to stand and follow Your Word. Thank You for guiding me into the life of blessing You have prepared for me in Jesus’ name. Amen."

He Holds You In His Hand

Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you...I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand...
Isaiah 41:10, AMPC

TODAY'S WORD:
We all face situations in life that feel out of control.

During times like these, it’s easy to get discouraged and allow fear to creep in. Instead, why don’t you focus on the fact that God is holding you in the palms of His hands! There is nothing too difficult for Him; nothing’s impossible; nothing is beyond His ability.

When God holds you in His hands, you are safe; you are cared for. In His hands, there is victory. In His hands, there is strength. In His hands, there is provision. In His hands is everything you need.

No matter what you may be going through today, you can trust that God is for you.

Instead of getting down and depressed over your circumstances, look up and get a vision of God turning that situation around.

Let faith rise in your heart and focus on His favor, promotion and blessing. As you keep your heart and mind focused on Him and choose to obey His Word, you’ll see those supernatural breaks that will launch you further ahead than you ever thought possible because He holds you with His victorious right hand!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
"Father, thank You for helping me and holding me in Your victorious right hand. I choose to trust You even when things don’t make sense, even when things seem beyond my control.

I release my cares to You knowing that You work all things together for my good in Jesus’ name. Amen."

Think wisely

The 1st enemy of ur life and progress is ur own mind by negative words, thoughts, images, ideas, decisions and choices.

NB: Critically examine, study, meditate and  analyse Romans 12:2.

Many people claim to be filled with the holy spirit but their minds and hearts are filled with envy, jealousy, bitterness, resentments and  hatred.

Such negatives issues hinder the flow of the life of God which is already in us.

Don't allow your mind to be used as a place to dump bad things. Use your mind wisely.

Our God is able

Martha, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on her face, walked into a grocery store.

She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would give  her a few groceries on credit.

She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable to work, they had seven children and they needed food.

The grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.

In desperation, she pleaded: 'Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can.'

The grocer told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.
A well-dressed stranger standing beside the counter, overheard the conversation between the two. He walked forward and told the grocer that he would pay for whatever she needed for her family. The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, 'Do you have a grocery list?'

Martha replied, 'Yes sir.'     'O.K' he said, 'put your grocery list on the scales and whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in groceries.'

Martha hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.

The eyes of the grocer  showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.

The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the stranger and said begrudgingly, 'I can't believe it.'

The stranger smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.

The grocer stood there in utter frustration.  Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it in great amazement.

It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer, which said:

'Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands.'

The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence.

Martha thanked him and left the store. The stranger who was Jesus, handed a Gold coin to the grocer and said the Creator  knows how much a prayer weighs.'

So dear friend,  trust God to know your very own needs, heal the sick, provide food for the hungry, clothes and shelter for those that don't have as we do.

*My prayer for you today*:

_*The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the hands that will send this message to others shall not labor in vain, the mouth saying Jesus Saviour to this prayer shall laugh forever. Remain Strong In Faith

".... Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth." Titus 1:13-14 KJV

Sometimes there is need to rebuke people so that they may stop following wrong teaching. The bible says in
Proverbs 27:5 KJV, ```Open rebuke is better than secret love.```

The worst knowledge that affects the church are commandments of men. In any church there are always people who feed others with the commandments of men or human rules in place of true doctrine. Mark 7:7 KJV ```Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.```

Church leaders should guard against the teaching of human rules in place of the gospel of Jesus. Paul urges Titus to rebuke sharply those false teachers so that they may become strong in the faith.

Be strong in the faith, teach the correct doctrine.

He Gives Us Victory

But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:57, AMPC

God wants to pour out His favor on you so that you can live in victory in every area of your life.

The Scripture says He always causes us to triumph through Christ Jesus.

That means no matter what you may be facing today, God wants to make you more than a conqueror.

Are you battling sickness? God wants to give you healing. Are you struggling with a broken relationship? God wants to give you restoration and peace.

Are you facing a need—physically, spiritually or emotionally? God's favor will bring you provision and supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

Many times in the Bible when God's people were going into battle, the worshipers were sent out in front of the warriors. When you choose to worship, when you are thankful and bless the Lord in the midst of your battle, you are opening the door to His favor in your life.

It's important to magnify your God; don't magnify your problems! When you give God praise, He gives you the victory!

PRAYER
"Father, today I give You thanks for Your mercy and faithfulness in my life. Thank You for leading me into victory! I magnify You and bless Your holy name today in Jesus' name. Amen."

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

Amen."

Manyuchi Pulls Out Of Bout Against Local Challenger Donga

THERE is discord in the boxing fraternity after middleweight star Charles Manyuchi opted out of the eagerly-awaited bout against local challenger Modercai Donga.

The old adversaries were scheduled to battle at the Harare Show Grounds on December 21.

But, 10 days before the fight and with literally everything in place, the former World Boxing Council silver welterweight champion has pulled the plug on the fight.
That has drawn the ire of both neutrals and Donga’s camp.

The latter, who had been in retirement for the past decade, challenged Manyuchi.

Donga has been training under his handlers in Swaziland where he now works as a lawyer.
He underwent medicals yesterday and weighed just under 80kg.

But, Manyuchi’s camp dropped the bombshell with his coach, Ali Phiri, saying his boxer would gain nothing from fighting Donga.

“We have nothing to prove against Donga (Mordecai). He is not even rated in the world, let alone registered with the Zimbabwe Boxing Control Board,” said Phiri.

“Donga has not been in the game for almost 10 years and he can’t make the middle-weight cut-off.

“So we can’t act unprofessionally.
“Charles (Manyuchi) is a champion and he cannot be involved in such affairs. If we allow him to do that, we will damage his reputation more than anything else.

“If Donga is keen to come back into the ring, he has to challenge other boxers and become a champion so that he will be in a position to challenge Manyuchi.”State media

Attack On Burkina Faso Church Leaves 14 Dead

Top story

Some fourteen people are dead after a group of Islamic militants launched a brutal gun attack on a church in the West African nation of Burkina Faso.

Gunmen reportedly burst into the church as congregants were celebrating mass, spraying them with bullets.

A security source reportedly told AFP news agency that armed individuals carried out the attack, "executing the faithful including the pastor and children” along with several others.

The attack took place in the town of Hantoukoura, which is located near the border with Niger.

Though the identity of the attackers has yet to be officially confirmed, in recent months, the region has been under siege from Islamist fighters linked to al-Qaeda and the Islamic State.

In response to the massacre, Burkina Faso President Roch Marc Christian Kabore tweeted his condemnation of the “barbaric attack against the Protestant Church of Hantoukoura in the department of Foutouri, which left 14 dead and several wounded.”

"I offer my deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded,” he added.

Over the past year or so, Burkina Faso’s Christian community has been crippled by brutal violence at the hands of Islamic terror groups. The number of attacks has jumped from just 33 in 2017 to 158 in 2018.

Earlier this year, four Christians were killed when militants burst into a church in the town of Toulfe, which is just 150 miles away from the nation’s capital of Ouagadougou.

In the same month, an attack was launched on a Catholic Church in the town of Dablo – a pastor and five congregants were executed.

Mushekwi Is A Heavenly Gift: Chunga

MOSES CHUNGA, the coach who gave Nyasha Mushekwi his professional breakthrough, says he wasn’t surprised by the striker’s decision to buy a luxurious 45-seater bus for CAPS United.

The bus was unveiled at a glitzy function held in the shadows of the National Sports Stadium on Tuesday.

Mushekwi is believed to have spent in excess of US$200 000 to finally get the bus home and present it to the CAPS United family.

The former Warriors forward chose not to attend the unveiling ceremony, telling The Herald he feared he would choke under the emotions.

Crucially, said Mushekwi, he didn’t want the occasion to be about him but to be about the Green Machine family.

‘‘If I had come there, everyone would be wanting to talk to me, the cameras would be on me and not the bus and I thought that wasn’t right,’’ he said.

‘‘This wasn’t about me, but about God delivering something special to my old club and it was good that I wasn’t there when the bus was presented.

‘‘But my family was there, my sister was there, she represented me well, and my brothers and grandmother were also there.’’

Chunga was the Green Machine coach when Mushekwi arrived as a raw footballer after having switched from playing basketball.
The China-based striker singled out Chunga for special praise in a speech where the bus was unveiled.

‘‘Firstly, I would like to thank God for this amazing gift that he has given to my old team CAPS United,’’ said Mushekwi in a speech read, on his behalf, by his sister Nyari.State media

Christians Must Work Hard

Some CHURCH founders are making some CHRISTIANS in Africa  lazy.

Fasting is important but serves certain purposes.

Some CHRISTIANS, especially from Africa will continue to live in physical suffering such as poverty because their leaders are  telling them Jesus Christ does not give physical prosperity such as money, cars, houses and  clothes.

Christians  must work daily for their own physical needs ...

Strong faith

No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God.

In the Scripture, Abraham’s circumstances were beyond his control. God promised him that he would have a son, but both he and Sarah were way too old to have a child. What did he do while he was waiting? “He grew strong in faith by giving praise to God.” He got up every morning and said, “Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness.

Thank You that my baby is on its way. Thank You that You are faithful to Your Word.” He kept thanking God for what he heard in his spirit, and eventually, the promise came to pass.

As with Abraham, God has put dreams in your heart. He has spoken promises over you. Deep down you believe it will happen, but in the natural, it looks impossible.

The odds are against you. It’s been so long. No, God is saying, “What I started in your life I will finish.”

The key is to follow Abraham’s example and praise God while you wait. That’s one way to grow in faith. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep expecting. Grow strong in faith and see His promises fulfilled in every area of your life!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for refining me and growing my faith. I choose to stand strong in the midst of difficulty.

I choose to bless You no matter what my circumstances are. I trust that You are leading and guiding me in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake in Jesus’ name. Amen

Importance of unity

A man who calls his family and friends to a feast does not do it to save them from hunger.

They all have food in their own homes.

When we gather at the village in the moonlight, it is not because of the moon. Every man can see it in his own compound .

We meet because it's good to do it. So let's continue with team spirit and take advantage of the holidays and meet and enjoy each other's company ragardless of our differences .

If we smile together, it is not because we do not have problems, but because we are stronger than the problems.

I wish each of you happy a festive season with family and friends!

Be Careful A donkey was tied to a tree.

A demon came and released him. The donkey entered the field of a farmer and began to eat everything.

The farmer’s wife saw the donkey and was afraid that he would destroy the farm, took the rifle and killed him. The donkey’s owner saw the dead donkey, got angry and also took his rifle and fired at the woman, killing her. When the farmer got home and saw that his wife was dead, he killed the donkey's owner.

The donkey owner's sons seeing their dead father, burned the farmers field.

The farmer in retaliation killed them. When they asked the demon what he had done, he said: "I did nothing, I just released the donkey."

Do you get it? The devil doesn’t have power to do much, but one simple thing he does triggers the evil intents of men’s hearts to harm one another. So, let's think before seeking revenge!

Be careful with your heart, because many times, the only thing the devil does is “release the donkey”.

Don't Lose Hope

“Now the Lord had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.” (Jonah 1: 17).

In the scripture above, the wind came and a great fish swallowed a great man. When a man is swallowed, destinies are swallowed and potentials and possibilities are aborted, because the man who is supposed to be the hope and breadwinner of his family has been silenced. Some years ago, a young worshipper in a Church was on his way to Enugu to pick up his National Youth Service Corps call-up letter when the vehicle he was in got involved in an accident. The impact of the accident led to his blindness. However, today, he is happily married and living well, even though the enemy thought he had been swallowed up.

If a man is swallowed by the enemy, his life stops. Some people delight in obstructing the lives of others. Any human being born of a woman who attempts to stop your progress, whoever that person is, wherever he or she is in the four corners of this world, I address such a person. He/she will not go unpunished, in Jesus name. “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?” (Lam. 3:37).

In the first part of Job 30:15, Job infers that terror has been turned upon him and is pursuing his soul like a wind. Job 20:15 reads, “He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.”

Fish represents marine spirit. I address them from God’s Holy altar; wherever that marine spirit is operating from in the form of a fish, I command it to vomit whatever it has swallowed from you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Further Reading: Job 22: 28 – 30, Mt. 12:40; Luke 11:30.

PRAYER/CONFESSION: My father, my father, deliver me from every affliction that wants to swallow me up in Jesus name. Amen!

THANKSGIVING

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Oh, that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.” (Psalms 107:20-22)

Thanksgiving is the marriage between prayer and appreciation. It is the catalyst that changes expectation to celebration. It is the strength a man has when he believes God can do something that he has not seen God do yet.

Thanksgiving is the only vehicle a man boards when his destination is, ‘God can do it’ – and he will surely arrive.

In Jonah 1:2, the Bible says, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.”Nineveh means a place of habitation,i.e. where one can dwell, grow and prosper in life.

Verse 3 tells us that instead of going to Nineveh, Jonah bordered a ship going to another town; Tarshish, which when interpreted means ‘a place of being subject to enemies.’ God sent Jonah to a place of habitation but he opted to go to a place of trouble.

GIVING THANKS IN TIMES OF TROUBLE
Trouble is the raw material that prepares a godly person for thanksgiving. However, in every trouble, God gives allowance for thanksgiving.

James 1:2 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.”

In other words, diverse troubles give you the materials that prepare you for your next thanks offering. No one likes trouble, but if that is what it entails to take me to my divine destination, so be it.

Prayer/Confession: My father, my father, please, deliver me from every trouble and pain that will deprive me of giving thanks to You in Jesus name. Amen!

Words of Wisdom: Trouble is the raw material that produces thanksgiving.

Second Chances

“You’re not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it … One of the household slaves ... asked, “Didn’t I see you…with Jesus?” Again Peter denied it. – John 18:25-27 NLT

An open position in a major orchestra is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a musician. Determined to win a particular position, one man spent a year preparing, practicing up to twenty hours a day. Nearly 300 musicians applied, but this man was one of only 35 invited to audition in person.

When the day came, he traveled more than a thousand miles to the site. He readied himself, hoping to impress the selection committee. In that moment, it didn’t matter how hard he had practiced, how many college degrees he had, or which acknowledged masters he had studied with. All that mattered was his performance.

He took his place behind a screen (set up to keep the process impartial). Describing the 10-minute audition, he reported, “It wasn’t terrible.” After the audition, he returned home and waited. But the call never came. He had not been chosen.

In the following days, he continually was haunted. Why didn’t he win? How could he have done better? Would he ever have another chance?

Our lives can be marked by moments like these when we fall short. In this world, second chances might never come. But the Bible reminds us that God continually gives us second chances. Peter was given a second chance after he denied Jesus. He was forgiven and went on to have a powerful ministry.

If you have failed, don’t give up. Turn to God. Be forgiven, and receive a new start.

Spiritual growth

TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:
These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold…
1 Peter 1:7, NLT

TODAY'S WORD:
One thing we have to realize is that God is not going to deliver us from every difficulty. He is not going to keep us from every challenge. If He did, we would never grow.

The Scripture says, “Our faith is tried in the fire of affliction.” When you’re in a tough time, that’s an opportunity for your faith to shine.

Anybody can get negative and bitter, blame God, or lose their passion. That’s easy. But if you want to pass the test, if you want God to take you to a new level, you cannot be a weakling. You have to be a warrior.

Dig your heels in and say as the apostle Paul, “I can handle it. I’m ready for it. I’m equal to it. I know God is still on the throne. He is fighting my battles, and on the other side of this difficulty is a new level of my destiny!"

Amen.

Aston Villa Hold Manchester United

Farai Dziva|Marvelous Nakamba’s Aston Villa restricted Manchester United to a 2-2 draw at Old Trafford.

Dean Smith’s men arrived at the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ oozing with confidence after dispatching Newcastle at Villa Park last Monday and dully took the lead in the 11th minute through an absolute stunner from skipper Jack Glealish.

They thought they had doubled their lead moments later but the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) ruled out Trezeguet’s goal for offside.

On the stroke of half- time, Marcus Rashford headed home United’s equalizer. A goal apiece at the break.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men came back for the second stanza looking more dangerous and defender Victor Lindelof nodded them in front for the first time in the game with a header into the top corner.

Villa restored parity minutes later through Tyrone Mings and that would be the last goal of the game as the two sides settled for a share of the spoils.

Nakamba did not feature as he was was an unused substitute through out the game.

Bosso Defender Impresses ABSA Premiership Side

SOUTH African Premiership side Bidvest Wits are reportedly tracking Highlanders’ right-back McClive Phiri and dispatched scouts to watch the player in the Chibuku Super Cup final against Ngezi Platinum Stars on Saturday.

A source said the scouts are expected to report to Wits director of football Roy Limongelli about their sojourn after Phiri put up a flawless display, as Highlanders beat Ngezi 1-0 to lift the Chibuku Super Cup.

Should Phiri impress the Students, Bosso could lose out on transfer fees, as the player’s contract expires at the end of the month.

“Wits scouts have been following the Highlanders’ right-back for a while now and were in Bulawayo to make their final assessment.

They’ll report back to the club’s director of football and decide on what course of action to take. Wits are keen on the right-back. They will not make attempts to get striker Prince Dube because they want a big built striker,” said the source.

Phiri, who has four national team caps earned from Zimbabwe’s World Cup qualifiers against Somalia in Djibouti and Harare, as well as the two legs of the Chan final qualifier against Lesotho, has been a consistent performer for Bosso.

His ability to overlap and deliver good crosses into the box adds to his team’s attacking options and that has also made him one of the best right-backs in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.

Phiri is one of three players, including midfielders Nqobizitha Masuku and Denzel Khumalo, whose contracts with Highlanders expire at the end of the month.

Highlanders’ spokesperson Ronald Moyo said the club was not aware of the presence of Wits scouts at the final.

“It’s only natural that when you’re playing well and you reach a final of a major tournament, your players tend to attract interest from other teams, especially from the region. We didn’t know that there were scouts tracking the player, but that really doesn’t come as a shock because of the way Highlanders have been performing,” said Moyo.

Renowned football agent with strong links to South African clubs Gibson Mahachi was part of the crowd that watched the epic final.

Mahachi is credited with facilitating South African moves for a number of Zimbabwean players, who include Divine Lunga, Knox M’tizwa, Danny Phiri and Teenage Hadebe.

Moyo said negotiations for Phiri’s contract extension were underway.

“It’s public knowledge that Phiri’s contract expires at the end of December and as a club we have notified the player that he is in our plans for next season, hence commencement of contract negotiations,” Moyo said.State
